In this tutorial, we will see how to install SOAPUI on Windows 10 operating system.
Install SOAPUI on Windows 10:
Step by step installation guide for SOAPUI.
System Information:
- Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
- RAM 8 GB (Requires min 512 MB)
- Java 8 (Requires min Java 6)
Steps to Install SOAPUI:
This tutorial is to install SOAPUI on windows 10, however this process same for the other operating systems.
Get the SOAPUI:
Download the latest SOAP UI from the official website. for me, it is 5.5.0.
Click on the above-highlighted button, then automatically download will start. After a successful download
Installing SOAPUI:
After downloading right click on the executable file and run as administrator. Then you could see the below preparation wizard.
Upon completion of the process, you could see the below Setup window.
Click on the Next button.
Select the destination (installation) directory path and click on Next.
Select the required components and click on the Next button.
On the previous step, I have selected tutorials module, that’s why this window came up to set the path for tutorials. I am just leaving as is.
If you wanted to create a shortcut you can tick the checkbox and click on the Next button.
If you wanted to create a desktop icon then you can tick the checkbox and click on the Next button.
Now the installation process is started. After success full completion you could see the below completion window.
Click on the Finish button.
We have been completed the installation process. Now let’s start working on SOAPUI to access any soap web service.
Open the SOAPUI:
Double click on the SoapUI icon on your desktop.
Here is the home window of the SoapUI.
Click on the above highlighted Now SOAP Project button to create a SOAP project.
Give your project name and WSDL URL to create a project, and click on the Ok button.
The below highlighted project Items project generated by the SOAP UI by using WSDL.
Double click on Request 1, then you could see the below request panel.
Provide request information and click on the Run button (Left top corner) to get the corresponding response.
